This is a fantastic deal on a nice condition Selmer Paris Series II alto saxophone, serial number 605107. This alto has been professionally played and maintained, and shows mostly light, typical wear from honest use. Currently in our shop in line for some work, it will ship to its next owner in perfect playing shape.

The original lacquer on this Series II is 98%, with mostly just scratching on the back side of the bell and tube from where the sax may rest against the player during use. There are no resolders, but there is currently a dent right on the bottom bow cap (see pictures). We'll take that dent out as cleanly as possible, but being right on the cap, it will never be perfect. The sax shows no other dents or dings, no other previous repairs, and the original neck has never been pulled down or damaged.

This sax came to us on mostly original pads which are really starting to show their age. To make it right, we're going to performing a full overhaul. Our work will include cleaning, all new pads and material, and a pro set up/regulation. All work is included in the price, and it will come to you playing better than the day it left the factory.

I found this alto to play with a very clear, dark tone and precise, immaculate attack and control. Intonation is solid from top to bottom, and altissimo pops with little effort. Great sax for advancing students wanting a Selmer Paris to further their playing, or professionals wanting a top shelf alto that will do it all. Ships in its original Selmer wood Vanguard case.
