This is a very pretty late vintage Conn 6M in gold lacquer finish, serial number E44990. The alto is in beautiful condition showing a clean lacquer finish and pristine engraving. There is no signs of major past repair. The body tube, bow and bell are all in excellent condition. This sax is also with the original double socket neck. The neck is also in great shape and has never been pulled down.

While this is not considered a golden era 6M it does show case a powerful free blowing response and a colorful sound. A nice item for anyone looking for a solid item under 1500 or a collector looking for a crisp example of a very late vintage 6M.

The saxophone was more recently re-padded in another shop. All but the B and Bb pads look to be almost new with very little play time on them. At this time the horn is playing decently down to low Bb through some leaks. Ultimately if you are going to be putting a lot of play time on it the alto will need a set-up before it can be considered in perfect playing condition. As our shop is very backed up at this time we are selling it playing in as is condition at a lower price point.
